In the Yurt Camp, at the Yurt Camp and around the Yurt Camp
Our camp
We have 6 yurts with different bed configurations, 1 double bed, 2, 3-4 beds. The largest yurt is genuine Kyrgyz, i.e. without beds, snuggly on mattresses with warm blankets or sleeping bags, maximum 6 people.
Cooking
We eat together in our “open-air kitchen”. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. We cook traditional Kyrgyz, hearty, home cooking but absolutely authentic. For example, our unsurpassed mountain “Besh-Barmak”. Besh = five, Barmak = fingers. Kyrgyz national dish that used to be eaten with the fingers together, consisting of beef or horse broth that is cut up and served with homemade noodles, but with us with spoons and forks.
The food is naturally meat-heavy, beef and lamb, rice and noodles, but also vegetarian if desired. Vegan too, but only under protest from the Kyrgyz chefs!
Of course, we also cook European (ATA) upon request and agreement. Kids are allowed to express wishes, spaghetti with vegetables and tomato sauce is always an option. Also potato pancakes, cheese noodles…. etc.
On request we organize Kymyz cures (mare’s milk) for at least 3-6 days. Well dosed, this serves firstly for detoxification and secondly for physical regeneration of the internal organs. Scientifically proven.
